Conversion is performed entirely in your browser using a context-aware phrase-segmentation engine, so ambiguous characters are resolved using the surrounding text rather than a naïve one-to-one lookup.

The tool ships with a reference mapping table of over 8,000 characters, including pronunciation (Pinyin for Mandarin, Jyutping for Cantonese) and regional variant notes for Taiwan and Hong Kong. All processing happens locally — no input text is sent to any server.
